             The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda set up under the patronage of    Maharaja Sayajirao III of Vadodara state in 1949, is the only English medium    University in the state with unitary and residential status. The university, to provide    education in broad and diversified fields, has at present 13 Faculties, which facilitate    doctoral studies. Also more than 38,000 students from different caste, creed, culture    and religion from all corners of India and world come to study here. This makes    MSU having one of the most modern and cosmopolitan culture on campus.

   Facilities at the M.S.U. Campus  

  1. The university library, known as Smt. Hansa Mehta Library is one of the largest well equipped and utilized library systems in India. It has titles and Journals on various fields and subjects. It prides in being the second largest in Asia. It also has an e-resource centre offering electronic resources and access to various journal storage data-bases.
  2. The university has 12 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls coming from distant places.
  3. The University has own computer centre fully equipped with Compaq Proliant servers with several nodes along with printing, scanning, and CD writing facilities.
  4. Health Centre providing medical facilities to the students and staff.
  5. Recreational activities for all round development of students.
  6. The sports facilities include : gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis, soccer, cricket, volleyball, basketball, table-tennis, badminton and athletics.
